Looks like we dropped a bit of a clanger in the 'improvements' on adding one of the two new toys earlier this week: find out why we were going whoops!

Exposure – Refused Entry
Now that our staff is all safely tucked up in bed, it seems appropriate to reveal a few exposures we’ve needed to apply.
The first exposure is one of basic staff safety.
A few times (the latest of which was just yesterday) is client ‘vetting’.
Usually, the ‘vetting’ is easy and consists of listening to a client and hearing how many drinks he’s had, or hearing how poor his English is.
We’re not going down the ‘racist’ bit here, but if you get a Rwandan refugee or an Indian who’s not learned how to speak properly yet, they will be immediately be refused a call-back.
Midlands Maidens is unique in offering call-backs to clients, and if we in the office can’t make out what they’re saying, we’re not going to waste our girls’ time by giving them someone who is in desperate need of a translator.
Occasionally, though, we’ll find that the client has got his address wrong, which is where Google Maps comes in pretty useful.
Any client who gets their address wrong will also be refused access to a call-back.
The next exposure is one of the Midlands Maidens’ website security.
Two or three times this week, we’ve had a one-time code request sent over from Microsoft asking if we wanted to reset our video account.
ALL of these get ignored, so we imagine that whoever wanted to get into our video account is still waiting for their one-time code!
The final exposure (for now) concerns Guest Posting.
The latest ‘Guest Post‘ request came last week, and we’ve finally worked out what these scams are all about.
Whereas a lot of these requests come through into the ‘comments’ section and get immediately marked as ‘spam’, this latest attempt came straight through to our email.
We initiated an email ‘chat’ with this one and found that the websites for which he was Guest Posting showed no mention of his name, and it was purely a way to charge 20 dollars for each guest post.
Going through his websites, this was mentioned to him, prior to a polite dismissal of his ‘services’.
We’d also like to thank all of our latest subscribers to our posts and pages updates, and there will be a few ‘subscribers only’ content blasts coming shortly!
We’re going to be quite busy over this bank holiday weekend, but due to our diligence over the website and staff safety, the security is all taken care of.
